Violah takes Tanzania
Still about Flash back Friday.
Tanzania happens to be a country that neighbours mine. But I had not been there even when I had relatives there. What made this trip even more interesting was because even when the journey was not so long for a bus, I was to take a flight….which was free .
I was to be in Arush,Tanzania for the International federation of medical students association general assembly IFMSA, for 7 days. But me knowing how to work my way around opportunities like this beautiful one, I planned my stay to be for 14 days. With the first 7 days to be spent in Dar-es-salaam touring, Slaying haha, and of course visiting my relatives there, and then I would have to take another free flight from Dar to Arusha for the General assembly. So you can totally relate to why its a memory worth remembering .
Dad… my everyday supporter took me to the airport that day, arrived within check in time, soon we were off to Kenyatta international airport and later to Julius Nyerere international airport in Dar-es-salaam. My beautiful family was already waiting for me. My aunties happened to be on leave, at the same time, and so I had enough tour time everyday till the last day. Dar is one town whose people almost look alike. The rich the poor, they all dress up the same way, and God those people wear makeup! Even to the local market, just anywhere, you will find enough ladies wearing heavy makeup . I toured, did shopping…a lot of shopping, tried out new dishes everytime we went to eat out.

Then on 1st august 2017, took my next flight to Arusha, where I met a team of 15 other medical students from my country. We stayed at the beautiful and Luxurious Ngurdoto mountain Lodge. The GA ran for 7 straight days, with activities 24/7. Standing committee seeions during the day, plenary sessions in the evenings and then social events that started around midnight to the next morning, and the cycle continued. Events like cultural night….Damn we rocked that night. Then the national foods and drinks party where I tasted shark meat and drank camel milk…… I know what you are thinking…hahaha . it was the longest week I had ever stayed with the least sleep, but still sobber all through. Hahaha. I met the AMBOSS team at this GA and thats how I ended up being AMBOSS Ambassador to Uganda today

It must have been my best 2 straight weeks of 2017. The return journey to Uganda was Krazyyyy. I need another time to talk about this one. Soon probably.
Enjoy the pics just like I enjoyed taking them
