My No option moments……part 1

While touring and sight seeing in Capetown early this year in the company of two friends, we took enough pictures and made countless videos, that we didn’t notice our phone batteries drain to 0% . none of us had carried a power bank.

By that time, around 3:30pm, we had reached HOUT BAY, a suburb of Cape Town, situated in a valley on the Atlantic seaboard of the Cape Peninsula, about twenty kilometres south of the Central Business District of Cape Town.

HOUT bay was so beautiful, it gave me some of the best memories that I still hold today. The blue waters, beautiful people, I got to see a seal for the first time, the biggest ships I had ever seen, big fish, many beautiful things.

But I had no phone or camera to capture any of these beautiful things, neither did my friends. The GIRL in me had to have a picture session here..lol!. So I came up with a very funny plan to walk straight to any stranger, ask them to take a picture of me using their phone, and then leave them with my email address so that they could send me the few pics I would have taken. This plan seemed so easy and of no alarm……right? until I told my colleagues. They laughed so hard, and swore to not be part of my weird plan..hahahah.

This plan had to work surely. But the busy HOUT bay left me with rather few choices of people to approach. I wasn’t about to approach the romantic couple that seemed to be having a time of their life, or the different families on vacation that seemed so happy and taken up, or the busy fishermen.

As I walked away in the misery of lost hope, I saw a lady seated by her self who was just looking at the blue waters. I approached her with a smile, introduced myself, and told her about my plea. She smiled😂😂😂😂😂😂. Guys she smiled. At this moment, I was so confused. I didn’t know how to interpret her smile. She politely told me her battery was dead too. I thanked her, and walked away. Our next sight seeing bus had arrived, and it was time to leave.

I may not have got a chance to take a picture at HOUT bay, but I tried to make that happen😂😂😂 . I tried!!!!!.
