Memoir of an intern doctor….day 32
While on night shift, i rushed through the theatre changing room to get this patient on table as soon as possible because her unborn baby was already compromised despite resuscitation. Guys, in the whole struggle and rush , i forgot to tie the strings of my theatre pants. And you can guess what happened. They fell while i rolled the patient. I still don’t know how many people saw that, but theatre was busy at that hour.
Graduation has come with me feeling rather 10 years older than I actually am. So listen to my version of old. Because now I stay alone and very far from any family member. Its the first time of its kind.
I bought a towel today. I had never gone to a shop to buy one before because it was always done for me. Now I needed a new one, so I used my money, to buy myself something that’s not food😂, and that’s not a dress or shoes. Guys, a whole towel. First of all, when did towels become so expensive? And how did I fail to pick between good and bad quality but still paid the same price 😢.
Then I return to my room after my 36hours shift and I’m so hungry, I turn to my packet of shortcakes I bought days back…..and they are all moulded 😖. And now I don’t know if I should just drink water or move a whole 5 kilometers before finding a sensible meal.
