Memoir of an intern doctor…day 83
This week during my *intern* routine, I got to rub shoulders with great surgeons and had much more to learn from them. Not just their surgical skills, but also their views about life in general. This very one lesson stood out for me.
A wise surgeon told me ‘find something you love most in this world, and let it consume you. Whether its money or food or work or sex or love or volunteering, sharing, leadership ….anything. Let it consume you. But never let it affect your life’s decisions’
I thought keenly on this statement, but I couldn’t find an answer to my own self. I always thought I loved food and money, I actually realised I had no clue about what it is I truly enjoy in this life.
The search is on. It began after he said the statement. I’ll let you know once I know
Happy Sunday. Mine just got consumed with duty, and I’m not even on duty. Certainly this is not what I want to consume me 😂😂😂
