When it comes to love

Love is a beautiful thing .

Disclaimer; I’m no love expert and probably I have the record of the shortest relationships. From 1 month to 2 weeks to unknown duration probably because I had no freaking idea what was going on, or because I had a couple months relationships of a lie?

But well, I happen to have picked lessons. This post is really based on my past experiences and the experiences close friends have shared with me.

Love is meant to be fun, happiness, memories, goals, the future, achieving and growing together. But look around, our generation knows it for different things like looks, sex, money, titles, and mostly about what the public thinks.

We are quick to dive into “love” with the newest guy or chick on the block even when we don’t know them well. And while we’re at our highest moment of infatuation, we get trapped and guess what, we can’t leave. We get trapped by pregnancies, empty promises, lust, pleasing people around us even when the relationship maybe abusive or just not going anywhere.

Over the past few months, the phrase Marry your friend, has grown into my head and sank to a deeper level of meaning.

The worry is always the same, what if this relationship doesn’t work out and I lose the friend I have in this person. But hey, what if it did work out perfectly and you lived the fantasy dream💁

Are we in love or are we just too scared to be lonely. If you can answer this question truly and honestly from the bottom of your heart, then you clearly know where you belong.

Don’t take long.

Happy loving💝💖
