The future, a crowded future
When we talk of the future, many times we imagine it in terms of technology. Probably flying cars, no smoke, Apps for literally everything, a clean and sparkles world. Today i thought to myself what the future would look like in terms of the population and how we will occupy the never increasing land. People say, the people born daily are meant to replace those who die. Fair enough, but have you thought about the fact that Uganda’s population has grown from 23 to 45 million over the past 20 years? This growth will even be bigger over the next 20 years. But the land won’t get any bigger.

When I was young, I always thought the Earth was as wide as the extremes of the hills I could see from any corner I stood at. But then I got to travel to different districts, flew to different countries, learn about the Earth being a sphere, and heard of the different theories of flat earthers and round earthers. Lots of talking, but I’ve grown, and this land hasn’t gotten any bigger.
Today while I looked at the hills on the far north of my compound, I wondered if people will occupy all those hills like some countries are already doing in the next so many years, reclaim all wetlands, probably spread wide the concept of skyscrapers to our developing countries.

Generally speaking, land could be the most pricey possession in the years to come. We might want to buy some more land right? Tomorrow, I’ll share with you some of the concepts I’ve learnt about the value of land .I smell a congested future.
Big hugs❤️ ( I give the best hugs)😊
